Imamzadeh Mausoleum, Ganja

In morning I walked to the beautiful Hyder Aliyev Park in Ganja (Google Maps showed me a route through narrow alleys to the back side of the park), inside the park there is a Ganjaland park with lots of leisure activities.

There is a big statue of Hyder Aliyev as you enter in the park from the main entrance. After spending some time at the park took a bus from outside the park, bus no. 20, saw a World War II monument, got down from the bus, clicked couple of photos of the monument. Then I took bus no. 23 to reach Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum, after spending some time at the mausoleum, took a bus to reach Ganja city center, walked to the hostel.

Took some rest and in evening went out to visit Imamzadeh. Took the bus no. 33 from Ganja city center to Imamzadeh, spent some time at the Imamzadeh complex, there were couple of buildings with faces of historical people near Imamzadeh complex, I was waiting for the bus to go back to the city center.

I was walking from the Ganja Mall towards Hyder Aliyev Museum, a young man approached me, first he asked me whether I speak russian or english, then he asked me what I'm doing here, he showed me his ID card, I could see from his ID he was from Azerbaijan Foreign office, he asked me to show the passport, I showed him my passport, after checking he said welcome. This was my second encounter with Azerbaijan police on the streets of Ganja.

Ate sheep meat Shashlik at a restaurant just outside the Alexander Nevsky church in Ganja.
