Couple of days back I got a chance to go to a Go meetup at Google. Recently started playing with Go, as any other programming language it have good parts from many other languages. William Kennedy (author of the book Go in Action), demoed built in tools available in Go, to do application profiling and digging deep into code execution, making sure you get the best performance out of the hardware its running on. Profiling an application throws a lot of data at you but to convert that data into information thay you are looking for, requires knowldege of how your code executes.

Learnt some new things and made some new friends. Event was well organized and food was great. Probably my next weekend hack will be in Go, I guess thats the best way to learn something new.
